RAND Social and Economic Policy Advisory Board

The RAND Social and Economic Policy Advisory Board is a cohort of volunteer leaders who provide support and advise across RAND's social and economic policy research and analysis. RAND addresses policy issues that are complex, multidisciplinary, and best served by a broad and systemic approach. Advisory board members contribute thought leadership, resources, and connections to advance RAND's mission and impact. Current priority areas for the board include:

Education, Employment, and Infrastructure Division

  • Make it easier to build (housing, water, energy)
  • Improve pathways to the middle class
  • Improve core academic instruction
  • Promote our one-of-a-kind analytic tools for domestic policy analysis
    • RAND budget model
    • RAND survey panels
  • Find effective alternatives to prison and post-release reintegration

Health Division

  • Increase health care affordability and value
  • Promote innovation in health care delivery and applications of new technology
  • Improve behavioral health
  • Strengthen primary care and prevention
