Emily Yoder is a policy analyst at RAND. Her research interests include wargaming, U.S. security policy in the Indo-Pacific, force posture, variables of great power competition, and economic analysis. Prior to joining RAND, Yoder completed her Master of Arts in international affairs from the George Washington University with concentrations in international economic affairs and Asia. Additionally, Yoder interned with the U.S. Mission to the OECD in Paris, France, where she researched U.S. interests in upcoming OECD policies, and the Global Business Alliance, where she conducted research on the economic effects of inbound foreign direct investment to the U.S. at the state level. In her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, Yoder completed a double major in political science and economics with a French language minor. She has an advanced proficiency in French and has written translation experience.
