All of the surveys and tools from RAND Health are public documents. RAND does not charge or require permission to use.
NOTE: We are unable to issue licenses for commercial use.
Some of the surveys and tools listed on this website were not created by RAND and are hosted elsewhere. As a courtesy, we provide links to these materials, where you may find instructions for use. Questions about those non-RAND surveys and tools should be directed to their respective owners/developers.
Citations
Please provide an appropriate citation when using RAND-developed surveys. For surveys developed outside RAND, follow the citation instructions provided within the materials.
Translations
RAND provides a limited number of translated versions of its surveys and tools. All the available translations are shown on the individual survey/tool page. No additional translation or certification information is available.
If you are interested in translating any of the surveys into another language, permission is not needed. For more information, see our guidelines for translating surveys.
