A growing share of working women are navigating the challenges of menopause while in the labor force. This report presents an analysis of the economic impacts of menopause on working women in the United States and highlights productivity losses associated with menopause symptoms.
The report emphasizes the need for targeted workplace policies and interventions to support women experiencing menopause and mitigate these economic losses.
This research was conducted in the Social and Behavioral Policy Program within RAND Social and Economic Well-Being. Funding for this independent research was provided by gifts from RAND supporters and income from operations.
