The authors identified options for the Army to field and employ uncrewed aircraft systems (SUAS), to include commercial off-the-shelf systems, both the Defense Innovation Unit's Blue Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UASs) list and the commercial market overall, in divisions, brigade command teams (BCT) and battalion units to enhance fire support capabilities. These UASs are a component of systems that identify and communicate targeting information to fires units and service targets in support of division, BCT, and maneuver battalion operations.
