Transportation for future urban communities : a study prospectus.
ResearchPublished 1961
Preliminary outline of the RAND study of urban transportation. Techniques used by many major metropolitan areas in urban analysis are described, and the gross characteristics of a model designed to meet some suggested criteria for further research are examined. The discussion presents a framework for a research program on urban transportation, and then divides the subject into a number of studies that not only will make an important independent contribution to urban analysis, but will also allow an overall integration of results.
