Tyler Hoard is an associate physical scientist at RAND with interests spanning biosecurity, space policy, emerging technologies, and agricultural security. He holds a Ph.D. in biomedical science, with a focus on molecular biology and biochemistry, from the University of Michigan, where he also earned a graduate certificate in science, technology, and public policy. At RAND, Hoard's research portfolio includes projects on biotechnology, space, and supply chain challenges. He employs a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods to address complex issues in these domains.
