Alessandro Grosso is an analyst at RAND Europe, working with the Health and Care Team. He’s passionate about analysing policies that impact health while bridging the gap across disciplines such as biostatistics, epidemiology, and health economics.
His expertise in quantitative data analysis spans various areas, including the use of individual patient data from randomized controlled trials, administrative datasets, and serological or epidemiological surveys. His work also supported decision-making in pharmaceutical reimbursement, including by the UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), by conceptualizing, analyzing, and validating decision-analytic models.
After completing a M.Sc. in economics, he further developed his expertise in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), working as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics of the University of York (UK) and in biostatistics at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
