Airbase Defense and Security with Application to Thailand

This report was written by two RAND staff members assigned to the Advanced Research Project Agency's R&D Field Unit in Bangkok, Thailand. The analysis stems from the authors' observations and data gathered through visits to U.S. Air Force air bases in Thailand and South Vietnam during the first half of 1966. The analysis describes ground threats to air bases and, based on experience gained during attacks on U.S. Air Force bases in South Vietnam, makes recommendations on how best to improve security of U.S. Air Force bases in Thailand.
