She/Her

Beba Cibralic is a policy researcher at RAND and a professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy. She is a philosopher by training focused on AI governance, ethics, and policy, and the co-author of Machine Agency (2025). Prior to joining RAND, she was a visiting scholar at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge and a responsible AI lead at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Cibralic received a Ph.D. in philosophy from Georgetown University, an M.A. in China Studies from Peking University, where she studied as a Yenching Scholar, and an undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science from Wellesley College. She speaks Bosnian fluently and studies Russian and Spanish.
