The RAND China Research Center (CRC) deepens understanding of China's evolving capabilities, intentions, and behaviors among critical stakeholders, including U.S. and allied policymakers, and the American public. Our research transcends military and national security issues, addressing strategic competition in economics, trade, and technology, and examining China's internal dynamics such as social and environmental challenges, domestic politics, decision-making processes, and bureaucratic culture. CRC acts as a collaborative nexus for China-related scholarship, fostering connections among researchers and research centers within RAND and across an international network of essential partners. Additionally, CRC is committed to developing the next generation of China scholars, both within RAND and across the wider China policy community.
