Our Mission
We believe that good decisions rely on good evidence. By championing rigorous analysis and objective research, guided by our core values, RAND Europe helps policymakers and leaders make choices that deliver the greatest public benefit—especially in times of fast-changing priorities and polarised debates.
Driving Impact
We measure our success by the real-world changes sparked by our research. Operating from offices in Cambridge, Brussels, and The Hague, we engage governments, NGOs, foundations, and private organisations across Europe and beyond. By working with these partners, we aim to deliver meaningful outcomes that improve lives and shape better futures.
- Public Value: Our projects address pressing policy challenges across a range of disciplines, including defence and security, emerging technologies, healthcare, education and employment.
- Policy Influence: We foster dialogue with key decisionmakers, ensuring that evidence guides strategic policy conversations.
- Local and Global: While focused on European policy, our collaborations and insights draw on—and contribute to—global expertise.
Our Approach
At RAND Europe, research rigour is our hallmark. We blend established methods—such as large-scale data analysis and scenario planning—with emerging techniques like gaming and foresight. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to:
- Pinpoint Effective Policy Paths: By stress-testing different scenarios
- Evaluate Policy Outcomes: Through robust quantitative and qualitative methods
- Design Future Strategies: Using cutting-edge techniques that anticipate emerging trends
Our People
We recruit and develop talented individuals who share our mission. With backgrounds in economics, social sciences, data analytics, and more, our diverse teams bring varied perspectives that spark creativity and innovation. By uniting different nationalities, disciplines, and experiences, we tackle complex policy challenges with fresh insight and unwavering commitment.
